Memento Amare, remember to love.
The page's name is a little bit weirder than usual, the reason for that is because this is one of the lines of one of the many movies we saw together. Memento amare, remember to love. Not that you forgot how to, it's the opposite. You made me remember how to.
One of the many reasons why I chose this phrase as the title is because you thought me to love unconditionally. Back then, when I was young and my knees didn't do that clicky thing (well I'm still young, my knees hurt sometimes tho), I thought that if I gave all the love I could give, then the same amount of love I gave would return. That if I gave you a flower, then I'll receive a flower too. Man, was I so wrong.
When all I could give were sticks and stones, you gave me the whole forest. When all I could give was a seed, you planted it and made it a tree. When all I could give was a smile, you made me laugh. And in those moments, those tiny little fragments of our time, you made me realize that if a person really really loves someone, they would love you with everything when you have nothing.
I think that summarizes the kind of person you are, Aly. You gave love unconditionally to the point that you can make someone feel alive, and with that, through this simple website I made, I want you to realize how much love all of us can give to you.
Happy Birthday, mi amore. Here's the seed you planted throughout the years.
